GSRP Assistant Teacher – Early Childhood Education
Location: The Learning Experience – South Lyon Township, MI
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
The Learning Experience – South Lyon Township is seeking a qualified GSRP Assistant Teacher to support our Great Start Readiness Program classroom.
Working alongside the Lead Teacher, you'll help create a structured and engaging preschool environment that prepares children for kindergarten through developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
What You'll Do
  • Support the GSRP Lead Teacher with daily instruction and classroom routines
  • Engage children in early literacy, math, science, art, and social-emotional learning
  • Assist with small-group and individualized learning activities
  • Encourage independence, problem-solving, and positive peer relationships
  • Observe and support children's developmental progress
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom
  • Build positive relationships with children and families
  • Maintain required classroom documentation
  • Follow GSRP and Michigan childcare requirements
Qualifications
  • CDA or Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education required

  • Previous preschool or early childhood classroom experience preferred
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Dependable, organized, and passionate about early childhood education
  • Must meet applicable Michigan GSRP and childcare requirements
