About the Employer
The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) is a service agency supporting the county's 23 school districts that serve nearly 430,000 students. RCOE provides administrative support to districts, leads programs for preschool, special education, pregnant minor, corrections, migrant, and vocational students, and offers professional training, support and resources for teachers, administrators, and staff throughout Riverside County.
Job Summary
The position of Permit Teacher - Early Head Start is under general supervision and plans and participates in the care, instruction, and supervision of children in a Head Start Infant/Toddler program; assists in the day-to-day operation of the center; and performs other job-related duties as required, i.e., parent involvement.

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Copy of Transcript (Copy of legible transcripts must be attached to your application, showing a Bachelor's degree conferral date from an accredited college/university - transcripts must also show completion of a minimum of 6 infant/toddler semester units (Early Childhood Education/Child Development (ECE/CD) coursework). Must attach transcripts showing grades earned - Diploma copies will not be accepted.)
  • Credential Copy (Possession of a valid California Children's Center/Child Development Permit authorizing instruction in a Child Development Center Program and Infant/Toddler (Refer to Commission on Teacher Credentialing pamphlet for Child Development Teacher Permit))
  • Letter of Introduction (Letter must be specific to the position for which you are applying)
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (Two (2) Letters of Recommendation are required and must be signed by the author. The signature block must include the author's name and title/relationship to the applicant. Letters must be dated within the last 2 years prior to the position closing date. Letters without author's signature, name and title/relationship to the applicant and letters without a date or dated more than 2 years prior to the position closing date will not be accepted. One letter from a supervisor is preferred.)
