Job description

WHO YOU ARE:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Content Strategist to lead the development, governance, and optimization of content across our insurance properties. This role is responsible for defining and executing a content strategy that drives organic growth, supports customer education, and maintains the highest standards of regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate combines deep content strategy expertise with significant experience operating in highly regulated financial services environments. They will serve as the primary liaison between marketing, legal, compliance, and external agency partners to ensure all published content is accurate, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive content strategy focused on life insurance, disability insurance, and related financial protection topics.
  • Build and manage editorial roadmaps informed by SEO insights, customer needs, market trends, and business priorities.
  • Establish content frameworks, standards, and governance processes to ensure consistency across all channels.
  • Identify content opportunities that support organic traffic growth, customer acquisition, and consumer education.
  • Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, and Product teams to ensure all content is accurate and meets regulatory and company requirements.
  • Lead content review and approval workflows, ensuring efficient collaboration among stakeholders.
  • Maintain content governance standards, disclosures, disclaimers, and documentation requirements.
  • Manage relationship with external agency, providing content briefs, editorial guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Review agency deliverables to ensure strategic alignment, factual accuracy, regulatory compliance, and brand consistency.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Executive stakeholders to align content initiatives with business goals.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, editorial strategy, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering closely with Legal and Compliance teams to develop and approve customer-facing content.
  • Experience managing external content agencies, freelance writers, or editorial vendors.
  • Experience managing large content libraries and content refresh programs.

BONUS POINTS:

  • Experience in life insurance, disability insurance, or insurtech industries.
  • Knowledge of content management systems (CMS), SEO platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Experience supporting marketplace, lead-generation, or direct-to-consumer digital businesses.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000.
