Digital Content Editor

We're looking for a Digital Content Editor for our growing podcast portfolio who will play a key role in bringing digital programming to life. If you have a deep passion for sports, long and short-form content, and are an expert video, audio, and graphics editor, this is the perfect job for you. 

Candidates must have a versatile production background, with experience in conceptualizing and executing short and long form video production, with an understanding of the entire production process from start to finish, creating unique content for audiences across all platforms. Multi-channel audio + video editing, as well as graphic and motion design in Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong understanding of social platforms and YouTube, is required.

What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with cross-department teams to develop and independently execute the overall look and sound of AMP Sports' growing podcast portfolio.

  • Independently lead all episode long-form video + audio production; craft all visual elements (graphics, templates, title cards, etc.) and execute sound design across a variety of shows. 

  • Own the episode engineering, recording, and editing workflow front-to-end, ensuring the highest quality standards across all aspects. 

  • Lead technical recording and troubleshooting of in-person and remote recording setups, managing all technical production (cameras, lights, microphones, etc.)

  • Create engaging short-form video and social content, working independently to align with show content objectives and brand voice.

  • Lead and execute the editing process of all sponsorship elements (ad reads, branded social content, etc.) adhering to campaign requirements.

  • Optimize and creatively adapt episodes and cutdowns for all distribution channels, including YouTube, social platforms, linear, FAST, and web, based on the audience and storytelling conventions of each platform.

  • Keep up with the latest news, trends, and cultural moments across the sports landscape, specifically on digital platforms, and turn them into highly relevant and engaging content.

  • Collaborate with production leads, marketing, and sales to create custom video content including marketing sizzles, show promos, branded sponsor content, and more. 

  • Consistently explore new and innovative ways to level up production, including all hardware and software updates and editing techniques, to drive audience. Educate team members to elevate all staff skills.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum 4+ years of high-level video production experience, preferably across sports and/or entertainment brands.

  • Highly skilled in video, audio, and motion/graphic design software (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Demonstrated ability to independently transform raw video and audio into cohesive, engaging, and original programming.

  • Knowledgeable of both in-person and remote recording setups (cameras, lighting, microphones, etc.) with an ability to both set up and troubleshoot. Camera operator experience is a plus.

  • An eye for quality content and unique storytelling, with an understanding of what drives engagement across various channels (all social platforms, YouTube, linear broadcast, etc.)

  • Adept with remote recording software (Streamyard, Riverside, etc.) and podcast publishing platforms (Megaphone, YouTube, etc.)

  • Understanding of social media platforms and how to leverage their algorithms to drive organic audience growth and engagement 

  • A proven track record of pushing creative boundaries with a portfolio that demonstrates engaging, organic content creation

  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high volume editing environment with excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong collaborator and team player, dedicated work ethic, highly dependable, and passionate about multimedia production

  • Consistently maintain a professional demeanor; comfortability interacting with high-level talent and celebrities

  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as project call for

The base salary compensation range for this role is $72,000 to $85,000.  Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
