Job description

Citi Wealth is seeking an exceptional Multimedia Storyteller with a Video Editing Focus to join our Content team - and to help build something genuinely new.
This is not a role for someone looking to maintain the status quo. You will be joining a growing, entrepreneurial content team operating inside one of the most powerful financial institutions in the world. That combination - startup energy, global scale - is rare, and it is deliberate. We are building a content capability that can compete with the best editorial and media brands anywhere, and we need a senior editor who wants to be part of shaping it from the ground up.
You are a skilled editor and storyteller of rare range - someone who moves fluently between documentary gravitas and campaign energy, between intimate interview and high-production brand film, between financial explainer and cinematic long-form. Your encyclopedic knowledge of film history, genre, and technique is not academic; it is a working toolkit you bring to every editorial decision - whether you're cutting for LinkedIn or Locarno. You know why a sequence works. You know what it's referencing. And you know how to make it better.
You bring the same restless curiosity to your craft that you bring to your tools. You are an early adopter of AI video technologies - not as a shortcut, but as a means of getting great work to market faster and freeing up creative bandwidth for the pieces that demand it. You are equally at home in the edit suite and on location, and you are energized by both.
This is a senior role with real creative authority, reporting directly to the Head of Content & Client Engagement.
Responsibilities:
  • Video Editing & Post-Production: Lead the editing process across the full range of Citi Wealth video content - including market briefings, expert interviews, client testimonials, event recordings, brand films, and explainer series - bringing a distinct editorial sensibility and genre fluency to every project.
  • Discipline Leadership: Function as the team's subject matter expert in video editing - setting the standard, establishing best practices, mentoring collaborators, and continuously raising the bar for what Citi Wealth's video output can be.
  • Visual Language & Franchise Development: Take a leading role in establishing the visual and editorial language of whole new content franchises - from the initial creative brief through to a defined, repeatable aesthetic that can scale. You will not just execute formats; you will help invent them.
  • Narrative Architecture: Shape story structure from raw assets, scripted content, and b-roll into coherent, engaging multimedia pieces - drawing on a deep knowledge of cinematic form, pacing, and genre convention to make every piece land with intention.
  • Tone & Genre Command: Modulate editorial approach across a wide spectrum of formats and registers - from authoritative and data-driven to warm and human, from fast-cut social content to considered long-form storytelling - matching tone precisely to audience, platform, and purpose.
  • Speed to Market: Harness modern workflows, AI-assisted tools, and smart production processes to move quality content from brief to publication faster - without ever using speed as a reason to compromise on craft.
  • Flagship & Long-Form Work: Contribute meaningfully to slower-burn, high-ambition editorial projects - the flagship pieces that define the brand's creative reputation and demand a more considered, layered editorial approach.
  • On-Location Production: Travel to capture and live-edit on location as required - whether that is a client event, a market moment, an interview series abroad, or a brand shoot - bringing agility and editorial instincts into live production environments.
  • AI-Augmented Production: Actively experiment with and integrate AI video tools - including AI-assisted editing, automated transcription and rough-cut generation, synthetic b-roll, text-to-video, and AI-driven audio enhancement - to improve production speed, quality, and creative range. Stay ahead of the tool landscape and train the team as new capabilities become available.
  • Workflow Innovation: Continuously import best practices from media, advertising, broadcast, and emerging digital production contexts - identifying what the team can learn, adopt, and adapt from the best content operations in the world.
  • Copy Editing & Editorial Review: Review and refine written scripts, article drafts, captions, lower-thirds, and on-screen text for clarity, accuracy, tone, and Citi Wealth's brand voice standards.
  • Cross-Format Content Production: Collaborate on content adapted across platforms including short-form social video, long-form web editorial, podcast audio, digital infographics, and investor reports.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct final QA reviews of all multimedia outputs - checking for technical quality, editorial accuracy, compliance with legal and brand guidelines, and platform specifications before publication.
  • Senior Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Content & Client Engagement and partner across writers, designers, producers, investment strategists, and communications leads to deliver ambitious work on time and to a high standard.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:
  • 6-10 years of professional experience in video editing, multimedia production, or digital content creation - with a portfolio that demonstrates genuine range across genres, tones, and formats.
  • An encyclopedic knowledge of film - its history, movements, directors, techniques, and genres - and the ability to apply that knowledge practically and purposefully in a professional content environment.
  • A demonstrable track record of raising editorial standards, establishing new formats or visual languages, and functioning as a subject matter expert within a content team.
  • Expert-level proficiency in non-linear editing software - Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut Pro X required; DaVinci Resolve a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects for motion graphics and light compositing, and Audition for audio mixing.
  • A proven editorial instinct for shaping complex narratives - with the creative versatility to shift register, tone, and pace across very different briefs, and the confidence to define a new visual language when the brief demands it.
  • Comfort and experience working on location - live editing, capturing on the fly, and maintaining quality standards outside the controlled environment of a post-production suite.
  • A genuine appetite for experimentation: with tools, with workflows, with formats. You import ideas from adjacent industries, test new approaches, and share what you learn.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with experience in copy editing, script review, and adherence to editorial style guides.
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience delivering across multiple concurrent projects - balancing fast-turnaround work with longer, more ambitious editorial commitments.
  • A collaborative, low-ego working style - generous with your expertise, receptive to direction, and energized by building something together.

Education:
  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience producing content for wealth management, investment banking, or financial services audiences.
  • Background in broadcast journalism, documentary production, narrative film, advertising, or digital editorial environments.
  • Familiarity with color grading workflows, audio sweetening, and closed captioning/accessibility standards.
  • Experience with CMS platforms, digital asset management systems, and content distribution workflows.
  • Working knowledge of data visualization, motion infographics, or chart animation.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience experimenting with AI video and production tools - such as Runway, Sora, Pika, Kling, Adobe Firefly Video, Descript, ElevenLabs, Higgsfield or equivalent platforms - with a portfolio or examples that show how AI was used purposefully and responsibly in a real production workflow.
  • Bachelor's degree in Film/Media Production, Communications, Journalism, or a related field - or equivalent professional experience.

Core Competencies
  • Editorial Precision: You hold a high bar for quality at every level - from the macro structure of a piece down to the cut on a frame. Speed never comes at the expense of craft.
  • Genre & Tonal Range: You move with ease and confidence across radically different creative registers, bringing the right cinematic instincts to every brief.
  • Film Literacy: Your knowledge of cinema is deep and applied - you reference it, learn from it, and use it to make better editorial decisions every day.
  • Builder's Mindset: You are energised by creating something from scratch - establishing formats, defining visual languages, and leaving a team more capable than you found it.
  • AI Curiosity: You actively follow the AI video landscape, experiment with new tools, train others, and bring a thoughtful, responsible perspective on where and how they add real production value.
  • Agility: You thrive in fast-moving environments - on location, on deadline, on a new brief - without losing your editorial standards or your composure.
  • Audience-First Thinking: You translate financial expertise into stories that sophisticated clients find genuinely valuable, engaging, and worth their time.
  • Brand Stewardship: You are a consistent champion of the Citi Wealth brand voice, visual identity, and editorial standards - protecting them even as you push them forward.

Why Citi Wealth
This role offers something genuinely unusual: the creative freedom and entrepreneurial energy of building a content discipline from the ground up, backed by the resources, reach, and credibility of a global financial institution. You will have real influence over what Citi Wealth sounds like, looks like, and stands for - across formats, franchises, and markets.
  • A direct reporting line to senior leadership and genuine creative authority over the team's video output and direction.
  • The opportunity to grow the video editing discipline and establish yourself as the team's subject matter expert - with room to expand that remit as the function scales.
  • Responsibility for inventing and defining new content franchises - their look, their feel, their editorial DNA.
  • The freedom and encouragement to experiment with emerging AI tools, import best practices from world-class media operations, and train the team as the landscape evolves.
  • Periodic on-location production travel - bringing editorial agility to live events, shoots, and moments that matter.
  • Access to world-class investment expertise and proprietary research to fuel your storytelling.
  • Investment in your professional development, including tools, training, and conference access.
  • Competitive compensation package including salary, performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits.
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements with offices across major global financial centers.
