Administrative Assistant
Louisiana Judicial College--Louisiana Supreme Court
The Louisiana Judicial College is currently seeking a qualified individual to provide administrative coordination and support for judicial education initiatives including continuing legal education (CLE) live seminars, online courses and resources, and other training and services provided to judges statewide by the Louisiana Supreme Court. This position entails answering the telephone and general emails, performing various bookkeeping duties, such as recording and remotely depositing checks, maintaining records for reconciliation with bank statements and running reports; gathering data and preparing various administrative reports, including tracking judicial attendance at Louisiana Judicial College events, and proofreading documents for content and editing them as needed using knowledge of court policies and procedures. This position exercises broad discretion and a great deal of independent judgment daily, with frequent interactions with judges, court staff, legislators, venue managers, and other partners. Qualified applicants must be self-motivated, well-organized, independent, and particularly proficient in professional writing and Microsoft Office products. Experience in the public sector and/or accounting is ideal but not required. This position serves as an employee of the Louisiana Supreme Court as part of the Louisiana Judicial College, under the supervision of the Executive Director. This position is based in New Orleans.
