Job description

Bunzl Safety Division is seeking a highly skilled and motivated EDI Coordinator responsible for the coordination, maintenance, and optimization of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems and interfaces across the organization. This role serves as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, external trading partners, and EDI service providers to ensure accurate, reliable, and efficient data exchange. This position will be on-site in Collierville, TN.

The EDI Coordinator manages end-to-end EDI transactions across multiple platforms and service providers, supports system enhancements, troubleshoots transaction issues, and helps maintain scalable EDI solutions that support business growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end EDI operations, including transaction processing, trading partner integrations, and ERP connectivity.
  • Monitor EDI transaction flow, system performance, and data accuracy to ensure reliable processing.
  • Maintain EDI maps, configurations, and standards to support business and trading partner requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve EDI communication, mapping, integration, and data transmission issues.
  • Lead onboarding, testing, and implementation of new trading partners and EDI transactions.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, optimize processes, and identify system improvement opportunities.
  • Support the planning, testing, deployment, and post-implementation validation of system enhancements and upgrades.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, process flows, diagrams, and system specifications.
  • Provide end-user training and ongoing support for EDI processes and related system functionality.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions that enhance EDI capabilities, efficiency, and scalability.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS, Accounting, or a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 years of EDI experience or 5 years of related business systems, IT, or operations experience.
  • Strong understanding of EDI standards and transactions, including 850, 855, 856, 810, and 846 documents.
  • Experience with EDI platforms, translation software, service providers, and trading partner integrations.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Sage X3, SAP, or similar business applications.
  • Experience with system testing, implementation, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of supply chain, warehousing, logistics, or distribution operations preferred.
  • Experience with SPS Commerce, ECGrid, Seeburger BIS, Mapadoc, or SAP IDocs preferred.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a focus on data accuracy and process improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented professional with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work independently.
