Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Systems Integration:
    • Hands-on design integrations between internal and external systems using APIs, EDI, middleware, and event-driven architectures.
    • Support customer onboarding by designing integrations with customer ERP and supply chain systems.
    • Collaborate with vendors and partners to ensure reliable data exchange.
    • Hands-on development following design blueprints and/or vendor specifications.
    • Delivery and successful roll-out of the designed solution.
  • Logistics Technology:
    • Partner with Operations, Distribution, Transportation, Customer Service, and Finance to improve business processes through technology.
    • Support implementation and enhancement of WMS, TMS, Yard Management, Labor Management, and ERP platforms.
    • Recommend automation opportunities to improve warehouse and transportation operations.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure:
    • Design and develop cloud-based and hybrid technology solutions.
    • Collaborate with Infrastructure and Cybersecurity teams to ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
    • Support modernization initiatives leveraging Microsoft Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platforms.
  • Technology Leadership:
    • Provide architectural guidance to development teams and project managers.
    • Review technical designs and implementation plans.
    • Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture principles and development standards.
    • Mentor technical staff on solution architecture best practices.
  • Security & Compliance:
    • Ensure solutions comply with cybersecurity policies and industry standards.
    • Incorporate identity management, encryption, logging, monitoring, and access controls into solution designs.
    • Participate in security reviews and risk assessments.
  • Vendor & Project Collaboration:
    • Evaluate software products and technology vendors.
    • Support RFPs and technology selection processes.
    • Participate in project planning, budgeting, and implementation activities.
    • Work closely with cross-functional business stakeholders to prioritize technology initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience.
  • 5+ years in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Applications, or Technical Architecture.
  • Experience designing enterprise application integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or transportation business processes.
  • Experience working with ERP, WMS, OMS and TMS platforms.
  • Experience with REST APIs, EDI (X12/EDIFACT), middleware, and integration platforms.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Third-Party Logistics (3PL), distribution, manufacturing, or retail supply chain.
  • Experience with systems such as Order Management Systems (OMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Integrations, etc.
  • Knowledge of RFID, barcode scanning, handheld devices, and warehouse automation technologies.
