Job description

Edge Technologies is a leading provider of machine tool automation and peripheral equipment for the metalworking industry. Rapid and sustained growth has us seeking a Field Service Technician to be a part of our Technical Support team.

Edge Technologies is seeking a Field Service Technician to work in the Detroit/Southern Michigan region.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and servicing magazine bar feeder equipment on CNC lathes at customer locations throughout a specified region
  • Receive a briefing from fellow Technical Support associates before the customer visit. This will include any action or troubleshooting activities already taken with the customer to address their needs
  • Tools and instruments provided

Qualifications:

  • Related service technician experience of two through five years or equivalent certified technical training on industrial equipment that utilizes PLC/HMI driven motion control
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the customer and professionally represent the company is a critical requirement
  • Knowledge of industrial electronics, wiring, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of CNC turning centers, specifically sliding headstock lathes, is a plus
  • Must possess above-average computer skills and be able to use Windows and other software packages such as Salesforce Lightning
