[About the Role]
Join a high-impact team as an Information Technology - Software Engineer, leading the migration of a complex software development network to AWS GovCloud. Play a pivotal role in modernizing environments, building robust CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with talented professionals daily. Based in Fort Worth, TX, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer passionate about cloud migration, DevOps, and continuous improvement.
[Responsibilities]
- Drive the end-to-end migration of existing software development environments to AWS GovCloud
- Architect, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and development environments using GitLab, Bash, and Python
- Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams, contributing to technical discussions and pair programming sessions
- Manage software repositories and artifacts utilizing Nexus and Artifactory
- Ensure secure, scalable, and efficient deployment processes for development and production workloads
- Champion Agile methodologies, participate in regular sprints, and support a culture of feedback and continuous improvement
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics, or related STEM field
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud
- 3+ years of advanced Bash scripting in Linux environments
- 3+ years implementing and maintaining GitLab pipelines (including YAML configuration)
- 5+ years of professional experience with C++ and Python
- Proficiency with Nexus, Artifactory, and Linux-based software development
- Self-starter who thrives in collaborative, team-oriented settings
[Preferred Skills]
- Expertise with Jira and Atlassian tools (Bitbucket, Confluence)
- Strong C++11 and OOP development background
- Experience with CMake, Ada, Greenhills, AUnit, Gnatmake, Vectorcast, CppUnit, Gcov/Gcovr
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled in Agile product development, software estimation, and process improvement
