Key Responsibilities
  • Acting under the supervision of a licensed physician, you will provide comprehensive surgical care by conducting patient assessments, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Participate in daily rounding, ensuring that all patients receive thorough follow-up care and timely adjustments to their treatment plans.
  • Assist in the operating room, contributing as a first assistant during surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and robotic techniques.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding pre-operative preparations and post-operative care instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and TRCC policies.
  • Facilitate hospital admissions and discharges, ensuring a seamless transition of care for patients.
  • Engage in consults within the Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU), addressing immediate patient needs and collaborating with specialists as required.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role caters to a diverse patient population, encompassing various age groups and medical backgrounds. As a Physician Assistant at Trusted Care Clinic, you will be integral in managing both elective and urgent surgical cases, with a keen focus on enhancing patient outcomes through evidence-based practices and personalized care.

Qualifications
  • Completion of a Masterโ€™s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies and board certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) is required.
  • Valid state licensure for Physician Assistants in Nevada and a current DEA license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification is required to be obtained within the first 12 months of employment.
Preferred Experience
  • While not required, a minimum of 2-3 years of advanced practice experience in surgical settings, particularly with laparoscopic and robotic procedures, is highly valued.
  • Prior exposure to hospital medicine or emergency settings will be advantageous and greatly appreciated.
Compensation and Benefits

The competitive salary for this position ranges from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a robust salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid licensing and certification renewals for APRN/PA, as well as coverage for DEA expenses.
