Key responsibilities

  • Build integrations with modern AI frameworks, MCP servers, SDKs, and developer platforms.

  • Develop plugins, Skills, connectors, templates, and reference applications to showcase Nimble's capabilities.

  • Identify emerging AI ecosystems and define the roadmap for integrations to enhance Nimble's accessibility to developers.

Job description

Nimble is the company leading the AI web search category. Our products are used by leading businesses in financial services, retail, market intelligence, and coding to build best-in-class AI agents with accurate, auditable programmatic access to the web.

We've raised over $70 million from Norwest, Databricks Ventures, Target Global, Square Peg, and others to build expert-level web search for AI. Hundreds of enterprise customers already run on Nimble, and we're forming a world-class team of engineers, researchers, designers, marketers, sellers, and operational experts to achieve our mission.

Why join Nimble?

  • Work on a deeply technical platform powering real-time AI and enterprise decisions
  • Help define the future of Web Search Agents and live web intelligence
  • Build alongside a sharp, mission-driven team that moves fast, ships often, and takes ownership
About the Role:

We're looking for our first AI Ecosystem Engineer to help make Nimble available wherever AI developers already build.

Your mission is to build and maintain integrations across the rapidly growing AI ecosystem—including agent frameworks, MCPs, SDKs, developer tools, open-source projects, marketplaces, and partner platforms.

This isn't a traditional product engineering role.

Instead, you'll live at the edge of the AI ecosystem, constantly identifying emerging platforms and building integrations that make Nimble accessible to developers where they already work.

You'll partner closely with Product and Engineering, but operate as an independent, fast-moving team focused on adoption, developer experience, and ecosystem growth.

What You’ll be Doing:

Most of your time:

  • Build integrations with modern AI frameworks, MCP servers, SDKs, and developer platforms.
  • Develop plugins, Skills, connectors, templates, and reference applications that showcase Nimble's capabilities.
  • Identify emerging AI ecosystems and define the roadmap for where Nimble should integrate next.
  • Ship production-ready integrations quickly and continuously iterate based on developer feedback.
  • Build AI agent tooling that enables developers to access the live web through Nimble.

Regularly:

  • Contribute to open-source projects and collaborate with external maintainers.
  • Publish technical examples and sample applications.
  • Engage with developer communities across GitHub, Discord, X, Reddit, Medium, and similar platforms.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to improve our developers’ experience.

As needed:

  • Attend AI community events and hackathons.
  • Support strategic technology partnerships and ecosystem initiatives.
What You Should Have for the Role:
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
  • Experience building AI agents or AI-powered applications.
  • Experience with frameworks such as MCP, LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar.
  • Strong experience building APIs, SDKs, integrations, plugins, or developer tools.
  • Excellent software engineering skills in Python (or similar modern languages).
  • Experience with prompt engineering, agent workflows, or AI application development.
  • Active GitHub profile with meaningful public repositories or open-source contributions.
  • Experience collaborating with developer communities.
  • Comfortable moving quickly, experimenting, and shipping frequently.
  • Strong product intuition and developer-first mindset.

At Nimble you’ll join a team of brilliant minds striving to solve the hard problems affecting data gathering. Although we work hard, we also play hard, and together create a vibrant community with frequent company retreats, human-first conditions, and an energetic atmosphere.
