Job description

The U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission is hiring a Director to lead the Economics and Trade team.

We are seeking an experienced leader with a record developing high-performing teams; superior research, editing, and communications skills; and deep expertise assessing and advising on the U.S.-China economic relationship, Chinaโ€™s domestic economy, the CCPโ€™s industrial policy and its technology development and goals, and/or Chinaโ€™s economic engagement around the world.

The Economics and Trade Team contributes to the U.S.-China policy discussion in Washington by conducting forward-leaning research and analysis and serving as a trusted resource to Congress. The team's portfolio spans Chinaโ€™s domestic economy, financial system, and evolving policy and regulatory landscape, including IP rights, data security, food and product safety, energy, and technology development; Chinaโ€™s economic diplomacy and statecraft; U.S.-China bilateral trade and investment flows; Chinaโ€™s adherence to bilateral and multilateral agreements; export controls; and more.
