Job description

Job Summary

The Director of eCommerce leads the digital commerce strategy and performance across multiple direct-to-consumer brands, driving revenue growth, conversion optimization, customer experience, and online merchandising. This role oversees eCommerce operations, develops high-performing teams, manages digital commercial performance, and partners with cross-functional teams to enhance the online customer journey through data-driven decision-making, experimentation, and technology innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead overall eCommerce strategy and digital commercial performance.
  • Drive revenue growth through conversion rate optimization (CRO), merchandising, pricing, and promotional strategies.
  • Establish and manage weekly trading reviews to improve business performance.
  • Build and scale A/B testing, personalization, and experimentation programs.
  • Optimize the end-to-end online customer journey and checkout experience.
  • Oversee website merchandising, product presentation, and content strategy.
  • Partner with marketing, creative, customer experience, and acquisition teams to improve digital performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the eCommerce team while fostering a data-driven, test-and-learn culture.
  • Manage eCommerce technology platforms, automation initiatives, and AI-driven improvements.
  • Monitor business KPIs, customer analytics, forecasting, and reporting to support strategic decisions.
  • Ensure strong data integrity and continuous improvement of site operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 12+ years of progressive eCommerce experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams.
  • Strong experience with direct-to-consumer (DTC) and omnichannel commerce.
  • Proven success managing eCommerce revenue, conversion optimization, and digital growth.
  • Experience with Shopify and modern eCommerce technology platforms.
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, and commercial decision-making skills.
  • Experience managing multiple brands or business units preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI tools, Amazon marketplaces, and customer experience optimization is a plus.
