Overview

The Director of eCommerce is responsible for the day-to-day management, execution, and optimization of the Retrofête and Seroya Shopify websites. Reporting to the SVP, Marketing & Digital, this role ensures both digital storefronts deliver best-in-class customer experience while supporting the Company’s commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Website Management & Execution

  • Own the day-to-day management of the Retrofête and Seroya Shopify websites.
  • Ensure website content, collections, promotions, navigation, product launches, and seasonal campaigns are executed accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain site accuracy, including product information, pricing, imagery, promotional messaging, and content updates.
  • Oversee homepage updates, landing pages, and overall website presentation to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the customer journey across desktop and mobile experiences.
  • Conceptualize and build content-driven pages such as brand storytelling, campaign, and shoppable editorial pages that create unique, immersive on-site experiences.

Shopify Platform Management

  • Serve as the primary business owner for the Shopify Plus platform.
  • Maintain expert, up-to-date knowledge of the Shopify Plus platform, ecosystem, and best-in-class apps/integrations to guide platform strategy.
  • Partner with third-party vendors to manage platform enhancements, integrations, and issue resolution.
  • Oversee quality assurance testing for new functionality, website updates, and promotional launches.
  • Continuously assess new technologies, tools, and platforms across the site evaluating fit, ROI, and feasibility before recommending adoption.
  • Monitor website performance, functionality, and usability, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Prioritize and manage website enhancement requests and platform optimization initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage emerging AI technologies and Shopify capabilities to enhance the customer experience, improve site performance, and streamline internal workflows.
  • Evaluate, test, and implement new AI-driven functionality and platform enhancements.

Analytics & Site Performance

  • Monitor website performance and key eCommerce metrics, including revenue, conversion rate, average order value, sessions, bounce rate, and revenue per visitor.
  • Develop recurring business reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights.
  • Analyze customer behavior and website performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Make data-driven recommendations to optimize site functionality and overall customer experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Digital Merchandising to ensure products, collections, and site content are executed accurately and support merchandising strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Digital teams to implement campaigns, promotional messaging, and digital content across both brand websites.
  • Work closely with the Art team to ensure visual assets and brand storytelling are executed consistently online.
  • Coordinate with Planning & Operations to support product launches, inventory visibility, and seasonal initiatives.
  • Partner with internal and external partners to prioritize website enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and improve overall platform performance.

Leadership

· Lead, coach, and develop two direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

· Establish priorities, workflows, and best practices for website operations and execution.

· Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery and operational excellence.

· Encourage continuous improvement and innovation across the eCommerce function.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 6-8+ years of progressive eCommerce experience, preferably within fashion, luxury, or consumer brands.
  • Hands-on experience managing Shopify Plus Websites.
  • Strong understanding of website operations, content management, and eCommerce best practices.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, and website reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Experience leading and developing direct reports.

Curiosity for emerging technologies, including AP, and a passion for leveraging innovation to enhance the digital customer experience.
