Senior eCommerce Marketing Specialist

Grinnell, Iowa | Hybrid, 3 to 4 Days Onsite

Brownells is looking for a Senior eCommerce Marketing Specialist to help deliver accurate, engaging, and high-performing digital shopping experiences for our customers. You’ll bring products, promotions, and content to life for a highly engaged customer base within the firearms and outdoor industry.

This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role in eCommerce site operations for someone who enjoys turning marketing and merchandising priorities into customer-ready eCommerce experiences. You’ll work across the Brownells website, building and publishing content, executing promotions and product launches, performing detailed QA, and continuously improving how customers discover, shop, and purchase our products.

What You’ll Do
  • Execute day-to-day eCommerce site operations, keeping the website accurate, current, customer-ready, and aligned with marketing and merchandising priorities
  • Build, QA, publish, and maintain category pages, landing pages, product detail pages (PDPs), navigation, content modules, and promotional messaging using the CMS
  • Build and evolve page layouts using data and eCommerce best practices to improve content hierarchy, visual flow, and calls to action
  • Configure and validate discounts, bundles, gifts with purchase, free shipping offers, and other promotions
  • Execute product launches, seasonal campaigns, promotions, and merchandising updates from setup through go-live
  • Coordinate launch timelines and dependencies to ensure content, creative, product information, promotions, and technical components are ready
  • Monitor site health, analyze performance, and identify opportunities to improve customer experience, conversion, and operational efficiency
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, merchandising, advertising, communications, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, site operations, digital merchandising, content management, or a closely related discipline
  • Hands-on experience working within an eCommerce platform and CMS
  • Experience with product catalogs, PDPs, category structures, navigation, and digital merchandising
  • Hands-on experience configuring and validating eCommerce promotions
  • Strong understanding of eCommerce site operations, customer experience, conversion, and QA best practices
  • Strong project management, analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Comfort using AI-powered tools to improve workflows and operational efficiency
Preferred Experience
  • eCommerce, retail, or large product-catalog environments
  • Military, law enforcement, tactical, outdoor, workwear, performance apparel, or adjacent consumer markets
  • Headless or composable eCommerce environments
  • A/B testing, conversion rate optimization, or eCommerce experimentation
  • Major product launches, seasonal events, or complex promotional campaigns
  • PIM, DAM, personalization, or other eCommerce technology platforms
Why Brownells

This role sits at the center of the digital shopping experience. You’ll work across a large eCommerce catalog and collaborate across the business to make sure campaigns, promotions, products, and content launch accurately and create a strong customer experience.

Your work will help ensure the site not only looks right, but works right, from launch readiness and promotional accuracy to navigation, product discovery, and checkout.

Work Arrangement & Compensation

This position is hybrid in Grinnell, Iowa, with an onsite expectation of 3 to 4 days per week.

Salary starts at $65,000, adjusted based on experience, plus bonus potential of up to 12%.

Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, a 5% 401(k) match, paid time off, paid holidays, exclusive employee discounts, and more.

If you’re a hands-on eCommerce professional who enjoys building digital experiences, coordinating launches, catching the details others miss, and finding ways to make the customer experience better, we’d like to hear from you and help bring the Brownells digital storefront to life.
