SUMMARY

The E-Commerce Clerk position is a non-exempt role within the Retail and Contract Operations division, specifically in the E-Commerce/Retail department, reporting to the E-Commerce Manager. The E-Commerce Clerk is responsible for supporting online sales efforts by ensuring merchandise is accurately posted and listed on e-commerce platforms. This role requires strong attention to detail and organization to meet listing and performance goals. Overall, the E-Commerce Clerk plays a key role in maintaining efficient and effective online retail operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

  • Meet daily listing and posting targets set by the E-Commerce Manager
  • Sort, process, identify, and evaluate merchandise for online sale
  • Research items and create effective listings to maximize value
  • Take clear, detailed, and visually appealing product photos
  • Write accurate, concise, and consistent product descriptions
  • Maintain accurate records of listed and sold items
  • Organize, store, retrieve, and catalog inventory properly
  • Assist with packaging and shipping to meet delivery timelines
  • Provide professional customer service and resolve issues efficiently
  • Handle returns and communicate problems to management
  • Follow all procedures for e-commerce merchandise handling and sales
  • Support inventory control and report loss prevention concerns
  • Use equipment safely and follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Stay compliant with company safety standards at all times
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
