Description

Greenville University's Department of Biology and Chemistry is seeking an adjunct instructor for Ecology. Preferred requirements include a minimum of a Master's degree in Ecology, Environmental Sciences, or related field (PhD preferred).  A commitment to excellence in teaching will be expected. The selected candidate must provide evidence of a vibrant Christian faith, clearly understand and internalize the mission of Greenville University, and articulate the value of Christian higher education. 

The primary responsibilities of the position include:

Teaching the course lecture and lab for Ecology.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A graduate degree or at least 18 graduate credits earned in Ecology, Environmental Sciences, or related fields.

A demonstrated, vibrant Christian faith compatible with the mission of Greenville University.

A commitment to excellence in teaching in the context of an undergraduate, liberal arts education.

Experience in engaging students in learning in settings that may include classroom, laboratory, and online (preferred).

A commitment to the integration of Christian faith with the discipline of biology and health care.

Ability to engage in critical thinking and exercise independent judgment.

Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms.

Regular Undergraduate Adjunct rate with class enrollment of 10 or more per credit hour is $1000. This rate is subject to change based on enrollment numbers for the course.
