Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver respiratory care across all age groups - neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics

  • Manage ventilators and advanced airway support in critical care settings

  • Perform ABG draws and interpret results for clinical decision-making

  • Conduct spontaneous breathing trials and support weaning protocols

  • Implement proning techniques for high-acuity patients

  • Assist with ECMO support and nitrous oxide procedures (as applicable)

  • Provide tracheostomy care and manage airway complications

  • Support the prevention and treatment of ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP)

Requirements (Must Have)
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in Acute Care

  • License: Active Illinois Respiratory Therapist License

  • Certifications (Required): BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS, NRP

  • Credential: RRT or CRT

  • EMR: Epic experience required

  • Strong hands-on experience in ventilator management and critical care
