Must-Have:
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Travel experience required
- Experience with Epic charting system required
- Skills in arterial line management, care of patients on ECMO, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation of dysrhythmias, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) management, isolation precautions/PPE, management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, nurse-driven ECMO protocols, PICC line management, post-cardiac surgery care, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
Description:
The position is for a registered nurse specializing in the cardiovascular intensive care unit.
Shifts available are 3x12 hour nights.
Two years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
Travel experience is preferred.
The nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients.
Patient ratios are 1:2.
Daily census is anticipated to be around 7 patients.
The unit is supported by interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more.
Nurses will be expected to have experience with managing complex cardiac care and relevant equipment.
All certifications must be current upon hire.
Candidates must meet all compliance and onboarding requirements prior to starting.
