What is Eclipse Aerospace?

Eclipse Aerospace was an American aerospace manufacturer that specialized in the production and servicing of very light jets, specifically the Eclipse 500 and Eclipse 550. The company was formed in 2009 after acquiring the assets of the original Eclipse Aviation, which introduced the Eclipse 500 as one of the first very light jets. Eclipse Aerospace provided upgrades, maintenance, and support for existing Eclipse jets and later resumed limited production with the improved Eclipse 550. In 2015, Eclipse Aerospace merged with Kestrel Aircraft to form One Aviation, which continued supporting Eclipse jets for a few more years. The company played a key role in pioneering the affordable, small business jet market.
