Centres for Early Learning (CFEL) includes a group of ten independently owned and operated Child Care Centres. Nine (9) throughout the City of Toronto and one (1) in Milton, Ontario. Compensation Package:

Qualifications

  • An ECE diploma from a recognized Ontario college
  • Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educator
  • Up-to-date First Aid and CPR
  • Up-to-date Immunization and 2 tiered TB test


Duties & Responsibilities

  • The primary responsibility is to co-ordinate and lead her/his team in planning and implementing a program and daily activities
  • Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips, and special activities.
  • Works cooperatively as a team member, encourages others to do likewise, and consistently maintains a positive attitude.
  • Incorporate the four (4) foundations of learning - Belonging, Well-being, Engagement, Expression into daily programming to ensure optimal learning and healthy development of the children
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding development of children.
  • Report any issues or concerns that may arise in accordance with proper procedures.
  • Direct and participate with children in all planned activities.
  • Use well-developed interpersonal, and relationship-building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff, and parents.
  • Attend and contribute to staff meetings and in-house professional development whether during or after regular work hour


Some daily requirements and components to the job you will need to consider are:

  • Flexibility between the hours of 7:00am - 6:00pm.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada.
