Job description

Eckerd College is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Director of Marketing to join our Executive and Continuing Education (ECE) leadership team. Located on our scenic waterfront campus overlooking Boca Ciega Bay in St. Petersburg, Florida, this position offers the opportunity to lead strategic marketing initiatives that support the growth and success of ECE programs. Reporting to the Vice President of the division, the Senior Director of Marketing will oversee marketing personnel, resources, and campaigns while serving as a key member of the ECE leadership team.

The Senior Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, leading the team that implements those strategies, managing external vendors, and evaluating campaign performance through data and analytics to drive continuous improvement. The role also oversees internal communications to College stakeholders, including reports for the Board of Trustees, and works closely with the College's Marketing and Communications teams to manage the ECE brand portfolio, websites, social media channels, and other critical marketing assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies across multiple units, programs, and products.

  • Establish and monitor marketing success metrics, using performance data to adjust campaigns and inform future marketing strategies.

  • Manage Executive and Continuing Education brand identity and messaging in accordance with Eckerd College branding guidelines while promoting both the College and ECE programming.ย 

  • Collaborate with College communications and marketing partners to ensure ECE marketing initiatives support broader institutional communication strategies as appropriate.

  • Lead the development, execution, and optimization of integrated marketing campaigns across print and digital channels, including brochures, inserts, email, websites, social media, paid advertising, and other platforms to generate awareness, engagement, and business opportunities for the division.ย 

  • Oversee the divisionโ€™s digital presence and content strategy, ensuring websites, social media platforms, and related content remain current, accessible, and aligned with institutional brand standards while maximizing audience engagement and visibility.ย 

  • Guide and implement internal communications strategies for ECE.ย ย 

  • Supervise members of the marketing team.

  • Serve as an active member of the ECE leadership team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in marketing, business, or a related field; at least five (5) years of progressive experience in marketing, including leading marketing campaigns. The equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
