Job Description
Job Title: ECA Student Records Project Specialist
Department: Early College Alliance
Reports To: Ellen Fischer, ECA Principal
Summary: ECA Student Records Auditor will primarily be responsible for the ECA's auditing of student program completion requirements, managing of student records, and communicating with district partners while working collaboratively with the entire administrative team at the Early College Alliance program.
ECA's Vision, Mission, & Values: The vision of the ECA is to bridge the gap between high school and college, enhancing life outcomes while fostering a democratic society. The mission of the ECA is to empower high school students from diverse backgrounds to earn up to 60 university credits towards a Bachelor's Degree. The values of the ECA are Social Justice, Strong & Supportive Relationships, Diversity, Growth Mindset, & Individualized Educational Pathways.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following:
  • Use Powerschool, Parchment, my.Emich, etc. to enter, track, download, and report student information
  • Communicate with program partner contacts within local districts to keep them up to date with current student information, including course lists, graduation dates, and good standing status.
  • Support CORE advisors by ensuring that all Educational Development Plans are updated and accurate
  • Creating database of incompletes and changing grades after incomplete contract time has expired (will need to create an incomplete contract for instructors to use)
  • Communicate with students and COREs about missing requirements
  • Educate COREs about keeping records for their CORE students
  • Track online high school and dual enrollment students and update powerschool with outside entity grades
  • Check attendance completion for teachers and follow through to assist with compliance
  • Assist with building Class Schedules in Powerschool, as well as assisting with scheduling students as needed
  • Assist with school-wide communications and events
  • Participate in staff development and training opportunities as appropriate
  • Provide back-up to main office support as needed
  • Regular, predictable attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience working administratively in an early/college setting.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong familiarity with the early/middle college educational model and related local, state, and federal policies governing program participation and high school completion.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, particularly those underrepresented in higher education.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of supervisors, employees, customers, vendors and the general public.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  • Highly proficient with Google suite, as well as a strong familiarity with higher education systems (ie. my.Emich).
  • Ability to use a personal computer in a networked environment including the use of email, voice/video communication tools, projection devices, databases and webinar resources.
  • Ability to integrate technology into the everyday workflow as necessary.
REASONING ABILITY:
  • Highly proficient in subject areas of reasoning, problem-solving, organizational dynamics and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

Salary: 185 Day contract at Grade 3 of our Unaffiliated Manual.
