We are currently hiring a part time Registered Dietitian – Eating Disorder Program/Clinical for Fremont Hospital!

The Registered Dietitian – EDO/Clincal works with the interdisciplinary treatment team to provide nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy that are integrated and compatible with the patient’s medical program goals and objectives. Primary responsibilities include developing and implementing nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy using established standards of care and practice protocols/guidelines; managing resources in a cost-effective manner; participating in performance improvement efforts; and maintaining professional competency and skills required for professional practice.  

The Registered Dietitian – EDO/Clinical will also develop an individualized treatment plan for each patient in the Adolescent Eating Disorders Program for inpatient level of care. This includes completing nutritional assessments and developing and monitoring meal plans and providing patient, group, and family nutritional education. The position also cross trains with the clinical dietician staff and is expected to cover clinical responsibilities when needed.

Part Time Schedule:

Week 1: 24 Hours

Week 2: 16 Hours

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, or related area granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college or university.
  • Completion of a didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association.

Experience:

  • Requires a minimum of six (6) months dietary experience in a health care facility.
  • Experience in working with eating disorders patients is strongly preferred; however, education in the field may be accepted in lieu of experience.

Licensure:

  • Registered Dietitian or eligible for registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association; Certification/Licensure as required by state of practice.

Additional Requirements:

  • CPR with AED (CPR/AED) certification must be current and presented to Human Resources upon hire.
  • Completion of Fremont Hospital’s non-violent Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training course within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with preventative intervention measures.
