As a Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC), you will work in an independent clinical role providing behavioral health interventions to patients within the Legacy Health Weight and Diabetes Institute.
You will be a fully integrated member of the clinical provider team, helping address a broad spectrum of behavioral health treatment needs for patients. Your goal will be to provide early identification and diagnosis, along with solution-focused interventions that promote wellness and long-term prevention. You will serve as an active consultant to medical providers, nurses, clinical pharmacists, care management, and other members of the care team, supporting highly effective and compassionate care for all patients, with an emphasis on the most complex and marginalized individuals.
A primary focus of this role will be assessing, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating emotional, cognitive, and behavioral problems or disorders affecting Weight and Diabetes Institute patients. You will also perform psychological assessments to evaluate patient readiness for weight loss surgery and assist patients with weight loss interventions.
