Job description

(RD) Registered Dietitian - Eating Disorder Clinic

Under supervision, the Registered Dietitian will function as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team at the UCSD Eating Disorder Program. The RD will be supervised by the clinic director and/or program managers in order to ensure adherence to the DBT model. Job duties will include: conducting a nutritional assessment for each patient, providing a meal plan for each patient, checking in with patients about problems following meal plan, and facilitating a weekly nutrition education group.

Additionally, the RD will eat at least a few meals per week with patients to observe eating patterns, monitor the meal environment, and assist patients in completing meals. The RD will attend all treatment team meetings, and provide consultation and training to the eating disorder staff in the program.
