Job description

We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon with fellowship training in Spine

10 physicians in group, 9 ortho, 1 rheumatology

  • Immediate need
  • I year path to partnership – minimal buy in
  • $400K to start, $600 -  $700K in third year
  • 14 days of vacation first year, then don’t dictate
  • 401K
  • Medical, dental, vision at no cost first year, then partnership pays
  • Life, Short term disability, long term disability
  • Need spine, must be able to take call
  • Have multiple locations,
  • Good ancillaries 
  • Treated like a partner from the beginning
  • Large city, no limit to the number of patients or cap like a smaller town
  • Very efficient practice, low overhead, pay for what you get, provide you with what you need, see all accounting on a dashboard
  • Most surgical cases are elective
  • 600 patient visits per month, 70 – 80 per week, 120 per week is busy
  • ORS based EMR:  Xscribe
  • Digital x ray with u-arm
  • 50% Blue Cross, 20% Medicare, 10% workers’ comp
  • 60% office, 40% OR
  • 5 half day clinics, rest is OR time:   1.5  days per week
  • Easy call burden:  1 – 2 night per month for unattached call; 1:4 on weekends with the OrthoSports physicians 
  • Office call every other week
  • ER call 4 days per week, paid for call
  • Not level one trauma, mostly ambulatory injuries
  • Call is infrequent and easy
  • Lifestyle is good and a lot of free time
