Job description

Medication Safety Pharmacy Program Leader

Beaverton, OR (Local Only)

$250K-$280K +BONUS

Search Made Easy, LLC is partnering with a large, high‑acuity hospital in Beaverton to hire a Pharmacist who will lead hospital‑wide medication safety efforts. This role is designed for a clinical pharmacist who has already been driving safety and quality initiatives on top of their day job and is ready for a true step up in scope, visibility, and compensation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead medication‑safety work across the hospital, focusing on system‑level error prevention rather than individual blame.
  • Review, analyze, and trend medication‑related safety events and adverse drug reactions, and translate findings into process changes and targeted education.
  • Partner with nursing, medical staff, quality, and informatics to improve order sets, workflows, and the use of medication‑safety technology (CPOE, BCMA, smart pumps, etc.).
  • Champion a culture of safety by encouraging reporting, learning from near‑misses, and reducing workarounds.

Ideal Background

  • PharmD (or equivalent) and eligible for Oregon pharmacist licensure.
  • Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience or an equivalent combination of residency training and practice.
  • Demonstrated leadership in medication safety, quality, or informatics (e.g., P&T or medication‑safety committees, RCA participation, EMR safety build, ADE reduction projects).
  • Strong collaboration skills, systems thinking, and the ability to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Protected time and a formal program‑level title to do the medication‑safety work you’ve already been informally leading.
  • Hospital‑wide impact with direct visibility to leadership and clear advancement potential into broader system or multi‑site roles.
