MLR Healthcare is seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our client's team. This location has all the appeal of small-town living and has extremely easy access to all the offerings of metropolitan activities. We are looking for someone who is cross-trained in CT and Nuclear Medicine. We have a special opening for just the right Nuclear Tech and would love to discuss the unique job duties of this position. Nuclear Medical Tech Training & Education:
  • Associate's Degree required. (Requires successful completion of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program.
  • ARRT or NMTCB certification
  • Illinois State Nuclear Medicine Technologist license.
  • BLS certificate
Nuclear Medical Tech Job Duties:
  • Conduct quality control checks on cameras and equipment in the nuclear lab to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Receive, monitor, and document radiopharmaceuticals daily, and input the information into the Nuclear Medicine Inventory System (NMIS).
  • Inspect, measure, and record radiopharmaceuticals before patient administration.
  • Clearly and courteously explain procedures to patients, addressing their concerns and answering any questions to alleviate their anxieties.
  • Prepare and administer intravenous radiopharmaceuticals to patients.
  • Perform nuclear imaging procedures safely, accurately, and promptly, following the guidelines outlined in the Nuclear Medicine Procedure Manual.
  • Maintain a clean and secure work environment.

Provide nuclear imaging to patients in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner. Comply with all State, NRC, ICANL requirements, and follow all procedures outlined in the Nuclear Medicine Procedure Manual.
