Surgical Technologist
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
We currently operate from 0645-2315, with variable shifts based on department needs. Applicants will be scheduled for 40 hours a week, with the possibility of 32 hours if there is a holiday.
Call coverage is required 24/7, with an average assignment of 1-2 times per week, plus up to 2 weekends per month. A 20-minute callback time is expected.
Job Description
The Surgical Technologist will assist with turnover cleaning and transport patients as needed. The candidate will be required to independently scrub a variety of procedures including:
  • General Surgery
  • Orthopedic Surgery
  • Vascular Surgery
  • Ophthalmic Surgery
  • Urology
  • ENT
  • Endoscopy
  • Robotic Surgery
  • Obstetrics
  • Gynecology
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of the operating room and instruments for surgical procedures.
  • Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control procedures.
  • Support surgical teams by passing instruments and supplies during procedures.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a surgical technologist in a hospital setting.
  • Active Hawaii State License required by the start of the assignment.
