Vascular Surgery Registered Nurse
Schedule
This is a 13-week contract position with a schedule of 4 ten-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Call shifts and holiday coverage are required.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Vascular Surgery Registered Nurse with experience in peripheral artery bypass, AAA repair, carotid endarterectomies, fistula creation, amputations, and endovascular surgery (EVAR, TCAR, TAG). The role requires the RN to circulate and sedate patients for surgical procedures. Knowledge of open vascular and endovascular techniques is essential. Candidates should also have experience in sedation and may be required to cover thoracic cases.
Responsibilities
  • Circulate and sedate patients during vascular surgeries.
  • Assist with various surgical procedures including CABG, valve repair/replacement, and diagnostic angiography.
  • Manage dialysis access and perform surgical endarterectomy.
  • Coordinate care with the surgical team and maintain patient safety throughout procedures.
  • Participate in required call rotations and provide coverage as needed during weekends and holidays.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Must have relevant experience in Vascular Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, or Thoracic Surgery.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
