Position Summary

The Director of Sales is responsible for leading all revenue-driving sales efforts for the property. This role focuses on increasing occupancy, ADR, and long-term room nights by targeting key extended-stay segments and building strong relationships within the Yuma market.

This is a hands-on sales leadership role combining strategic planning with active business development and account management.



Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to drive occupancy, ADR, and revenue growth
  • Identify and secure business across key extended-stay segments including:
    • Military and Government (Marine Corps Air Station Yuma)
    • Construction and Trades
    • Corporate and Project-based business
    • Relocation and Housing services
    • Healthcare and Education accounts
  • Actively prospect new business through sales calls, networking, and site visits
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local demand generators and key clients
  • Negotiate and manage corporate and project-based contracts
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and revenue team on pricing strategy and forecasting
  • Track and report on sales activity, pipelines, and account performance
  • Position the hotel as the preferred extended-stay option in the Yuma market
  • Represent the property at local business and community events


Requirements
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2+ years of hotel sales experience
  • At least 1 year in a leadership or senior sales role preferred
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Strong business development and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Highly organized with strong time management and follow-through

Core Skills
  • Extended-stay, corporate, or project-based sales experience preferred
  • CRM and sales reporting system proficiency
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong understanding of occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR drivers
