What you will be doing:
  • Provide quality beverages consistently for all customers, preparing Starbucks beverages to standard.
  • Maintain condition and cleanliness of work area.
  • Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products.
  • Ascertain guest satisfaction; in the event of dissatisfaction, tactfully negotiate an accommodation.
  • Comply with accounting guidelines regarding receipt of payments, cash drawer and house bank management.
  • Balance house bank at the end of the shift.
  • Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard outlet cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.

What we are looking for:
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Previous hospitality, barista, cashiering or customer service experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to learn all menu items and up-selling techniques.
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, count total bank, prepare cash drops, and total all other charges.
  • Ability to effectively resolve conflict situations, such as inaccurate check total.
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficient to understand menus and special promotions and communicate with guests.
  • Ability to operate keyboard and Point of Sale procedures to handle cashier functions.
