How You'll Make An Impact

ConnectDER is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and highly collaborative Program Manager for a 6-month temporary contract. This role will support the development and implementation of next-generation products and initiatives while helping strengthen the processes and governance that keep our teams aligned and moving forward.

The ideal candidate brings strong organizational and communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to navigate complex, cross-functional work. You'll have the opportunity to quickly make an impact, build expertise in our products and processes, and take increasing ownership of key initiatives.

You will:

  • Guide organizational initiatives by providing strategic program management insights and execution recommendations with internal teams.
  • Facilitate key governance forums including Leadership Meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), and Product Review Boards (PRB) by aligning cross-functional materials, capturing critical decisions, and driving accountability for action items.
  • Streamline the Objectives and Key Results (OKR) governance structure, optimizing the framework to ensure company-wide alignment and adherence to strategic goals.
  • Define, optimize, and advocate for process improvements, offering hands-on guidance on development workflows and internal innovation tools.
  • Lead cross-functional technical teams within a matrix organization, keeping engineering, product, and operations aligned with minimal guidance.
  • Champion New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, ensuring strict adherence to governance standards and execution best practices.
  • Communicate NPI program status, risks, and milestones clearly to stakeholders at all organizational levels, from engineering teams to executives.
  • Proactively resolve project conflicts, resource constraints, and operational bottlenecks to keep timelines on track.

This is a hybrid position generally working 40 hours per week and requiring 3 days per week on-site at our Philadelphia office. Candidates must be located within a reasonable commuting distance of our Philadelphia office.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, engineering, or another related technical field, preferred.
  • 2 - 5 years of relevant program or project management experience, preferably in a technology or product driven environment.
  • A proven track record of developing, implementing, and optimizing internal workflows and processes.
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Proven success in establishing key performance indicators, metrics, and focus to drive product development best practices.
  • Advanced problem solving and interpersonal skills (presentation, written and oral) with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Comfort in operating in both agile and waterfall project methodologies, for both software and hardware development projects.
  • Experience using project management software (i.e. ClickUp, Microsoft Project, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering solutions in the solar, renewable, and/or distributed energy Resource (DER) industry.
  • Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement process experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of innovation tools (Roadmunk, ClickUp, PowerBI etc.).

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Must have the ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time with or without accommodation.

Compensation: $36-$40 per hour, plus benefits required by applicable state and local law.
