Job description

Warehouse Associate – E-Commerce Fulfillment

Position Summary

We are hiring a Warehouse Associate – E-Commerce Fulfillment to manage the daily operations of our 10,000-square-foot e-commerce warehouse. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working independently, managing daily priorities, and ensuring orders, returns, and inventory tasks are completed accurately and on time.

The role includes order picking and packing, processing customer returns, inventory handling, receiving, and operating warehouse equipment. The warehouse currently operates as a lean warehouse operation, so this position requires someone who is dependable, self-directed, and comfortable taking ownership of daily execution. As the operation grows, there will be an opportunity to help train and coordinate additional warehouse associates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of day-to-day warehouse operations, setting priorities and managing workflow independently.
  • Pick and pack e-commerce customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Build, tape, and prepare shipping boxes, pack products securely, and apply shipping labels.
  • Place completed shipments on pallets or in designated carrier pickup areas for UPS and FedEx parcel pickups.
  • Process customer returns, including inspecting returned items, refurbishing and repackaging products, and returning eligible inventory to stock.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment including cherry pickers and sit-down forklifts.
  • Receive inbound shipments and verify product counts against shipping documents.
  • Put away inventory into assigned storage locations using company inventory software.
  • Perform inventory replenishment, cycle counts, and stock checks to maintain accurate inventory.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with company policies and OSHA standards.
  • Help train and coordinate additional warehouse associates as the team grows, when needed.
  • Report damaged product, inventory discrepancies, safety issues, or equipment problems to management.
  • Work overtime as needed to meet fulfillment volume and shipping deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proven experience operating a cherry picker (required).
  • Experience operating a sit-down forklift preferred.
  • Hands-on experience building and taping boxes and preparing parcel shipments.
  • Comfortable using a computer and warehouse software for order processing, inventory updates, and daily tasks.
  • Warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution experience required (e-commerce experience strongly preferred).
  • Experience with order picking, packing, and returns processing.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, reach, and stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working at heights when using order-picking equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, accountability, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime when needed.

Work Environment

  • Modern 10,000-square-foot warehouse built in 2023.
  • Combination of climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled areas.
  • Growing e-commerce operation where the Associate is expected to work independently, manage daily priorities, and take ownership of execution.

We are an equal opportunity employer.
