ABOUT EL FAMOSO

El Famoso is a Central Texas merchandise company that specializes in e-commerce, retail, and tour operations. We quietly serve as the team behind the scenes for brands, businesses, and entertainers, overseeing everything from product development and marketing to fulfillment and customer service. We pride ourselves on innovative solutions and exceptional service within a collaborative, respectful environment.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re hiring an E-Commerce Manager to own the day-to-day operation and growth of a portfolio of client Shopify stores. You’ll be a hands-on store operator and proactive client partner: keeping stores running well, launches on track, and finding practical ways to grow sales.

We want someone with opinions about what makes a store work. You notice a broken shipping setting before customers report it, see opportunities to improve a product page, and can turn an upcoming release into an organized launch. You’ll work with Brand Management on client priorities and with Production, Fulfillment, and Customer Service to bring those plans to life.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

Client relationships and account ownership

  • Be the day-to-day e-commerce partner for assigned clients. Understand their goals, anticipate needs, recommend improvements, and keep them informed about progress and decisions.
  • Turn requests into clear plans with owners, deadlines, and approvals. Keep work organized in Monday.com and coordinate creative, production, and operational teams through completion.

Shopify stores and the shopping experience

  • Manage products, variants, collections, pricing, shipping settings, apps, and theme configuration. Troubleshoot issues and know when to involve technical teammates.
  • Regularly review stores for stale content, catalog errors, mobile usability, and checkout problems. Improve navigation, product discovery, and accessibility, and verify fixes.

Launches, inventory, and fulfillment

  • Carry drops, preorders, restocks, and promotions from planning through launch and follow-up. Align inventory, assets, approvals, and testing early enough to resolve problems before customers arrive.
  • Work with Production and Fulfillment on product readiness and inventory accuracy across Shopify and ShipHero. Work with Fulfillment and Customer Service to resolve order holds, delayed preorders, and inventory sync issues, keeping clients informed along the way.

Merchandising and revenue growth

  • Build release and promotional calendars around client goals. Execute agreed email campaigns and storefront promotions, and improve product pages, assortments, and search visibility.
  • Use Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, and spreadsheets to understand sales, conversion, average order value, and sell-through. Give clients clear recommendations on what to promote, restock, or improve, then review the results.

WORK SMARTER

Help improve how we run stores through practical use of AI, automation, and better processes. Keep account records organized, and develop a specialty you can share across the team.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Hands-on Shopify experience managing storefronts, including configuration, merchandising, shipping, launches, and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of online retail: how product discovery, conversion, email marketing, and fulfillment affect sales and the customer experience.
  • Confidence using commerce data and spreadsheets to explain performance and decide what to do next.
  • Strong client communication, practical problem-solving, and reliable follow-through across multiple stores and priorities.
  • Curiosity about better tools and workflows, and availability to work full-time on-site in Buda, Texas.

NICE TO HAVE (NOT REQUIRED)

Experience in any of the following is a plus; we don’t expect expertise in every area.

  • Artist merchandise, apparel, high-volume drops, or preorder experience.
  • Familiarity with ShipHero, Klaviyo, Monday.com, or comparable tools.
  • Deeper expertise in email/SMS, SEO, conversion optimization, paid media, or marketplaces such as Amazon and TikTok Shop.
  • Shopify Flow, Make, AI-assisted workflows, or basic HTML, CSS, and Liquid.

WHY EL FAMOSO

  • Help distinctive brands build better stores and stronger customer relationships.
  • See the full commerce operation, alongside the people producing, shipping, and supporting what you sell.
  • Join a collaborative, low-ego team where your ideas can become real improvements and your expertise can grow with the business.

HOW TO APPLY

Apply with your resume. A cover letter is optional. If you can own the core Shopify and e-commerce work, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every preference.

El Famoso is an equal-opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other status protected by law.

Company Description

El Famoso builds the commerce infrastructure behind culture. Based in Central Texas, we partner with artists and brands to manage eCommerce fulfillment, wholesale distribution, international shipping, and customer service.
Our fulfillment operation supports everything from daily direct-to-consumer orders and high-volume product drops to wholesale, retail, tour, and international shipments.
