What You Will Be Responsible For

Retail Operations & Profitability
• Manage all aspects of BSE’s retail operations, including the team store, game-day kiosks, and e-commerce platform.
• Ensure store profitability by achieving or exceeding sales goals, managing expenses, and implementing cost-control strategies.
• Oversee daily store operations including opening, closing, cash management, and adherence to all asset protection and loss prevention policies.
• Maintain accurate inventory control, including receiving, pricing, stocking, and transfers between locations.
• Manage operational processes to ensure efficient flow from stockroom to sales floor, maximizing product availability for guests.
• Support the Director of Merchandise in seasonal buying, assortment planning, and product selection decisions based on sales performance, trends, and customer feedback.


Guest Experience & Brand Leadership:
• Lead by example to create a guest-first, service-driven culture that reflects BSE’s values and enhances fan loyalty.
• Deliver a retail experience that is engaging, approachable, and reflective of the excitement of live sports and entertainment.
• Ensure that all team members consistently provide exceptional customer service and maintain high brand presentation standards.
• Oversee the execution of visual merchandising and store displays, ensuring product presentation aligns with BSE and franchise branding guidelines.

E-Commerce & Digital Retail:
• Oversee BSE’s online retail store, ensuring accurate product listings, pricing, photography, and stock availability.
• Coordinate order fulfillment, returns, and shipping logistics to maintain service excellence.
• Work with marketing and merchandise teams to develop online promotions and digital campaigns that drive traffic and conversion.
• Analyze e-commerce analytics and sales data to optimize the digital shopping experience.

Team Leadership & Development:
• Recruit, train, and lead a team of retail associates to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.
• Foster a culture of trust, motivation, and accountability, encouraging collaboration and personal growth.
• Provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
• Create staffing plans and schedules to meet business needs, particularly during game days and peak periods.
• Ensure adherence to BSE policies, operational standards, and health & safety requirements.

Financial Management & Reporting:
• Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales, conversion rates, average transaction value, and inventory shrinkage.
• Prepare and submit regular financial and operational reports to the Director of Merchandise and Finance Department.
• Collaborate with Finance to ensure all sales and expense data are accurately recorded and reconciled.
• Assist with year-end and periodic inventory counts, ensuring accuracy and accountability.

Collaboration & Promotions:
• Partner with Marketing and Sponsorship departments to develop and execute retail promotions tied to theme nights, events, and community initiatives.
• Work cross-functionally with the Game Day & Fan Experience team to ensure retail activations contribute to the in-venue atmosphere.
• Represent BSE retail operations with professionalism in all partner and vendor communications.

What We Look For

• Minimum 2 years of retail or sales management experience, preferably in sports, hospitality, or entertainment.
• High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or Retail Management an asset.
• Possess strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a results-driven team.
• Demonstrated success in achieving revenue goals and managing operational budgets.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, POS systems (e.g., Shopify, Lightspeed, Square), and inventory management tools.
• Knowledge of visual merchandising and e-commerce best practices.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
