Job description

About Dynatron
"Dynatron is championing a new standard of Fixed Ops excellence for automotive dealerships. We cut through the Fixed Ops data fog and deliver unique insights and actions that help you drive revenue growth, expand margins, and uplift retention-all through a unique AI-powered Fixed Ops Data Intelligence Platform, proven methodology, and expert coaching. The Opportunity
We're seeking a hands-on, technically fluent Technical Product Owner to own the delivery and evolution of the data platform that powers Dynatron's products and client outcomes. You will define, refine, and prioritize data-related work across ingestion, transformation, APIs, integrations, and governance - ensuring the right data sources, structures, and intelligence are always available to support current products and future innovation.
Success in this role means bridging technical depth with product thinking: writing precise acceptance criteria, partnering closely with engineers and data architects, and relentlessly prioritizing the highest-impact work. You'll work across Engineering, Data, Product, Sales, Marketing, and Client Success to turn data into a durable competitive advantage.
Data is not a supporting function at Dynatron - it is the foundation upon which our products are built. Every metric, recommendation, and workflow surfaced to a dealership service department depends on the depth, accuracy, and structure of the data we curate and evolve. The ideal candidate is equally at home interrogating source systems and mapping data gaps with our Data team as they are representing product requirements in architectural discussions. You translate product needs into data requirements with the rigor to ensure we build for extensibility and scale - not one-off solutions that require rework - and you hold both sides accountable to each other.
What You'll DoBacklog Ownership & Sprint Execution
  • Own and maintain the data product backlog-writing, refining, and prioritizing user stories, epics, and technical tasks across data ingestion, transformation, APIs, and integrations.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews in close partnership with Engineering and Data teams.
  • Manage dependencies, track delivery progress, and proactively surface blockers or risks to stakeholders.
Data Platform Strategy & Roadmap Alignment
  • Partner with Product leadership to shape and maintain the roadmap for Dynatron's enterprise data platform, ensuring alignment with company objectives and long-term product direction.
  • Prioritize initiatives across ingestion, transformation, categorization, storage, governance, and data delivery based on business value and strategic impact.
Product Line Partnership & Data Enablement
  • Partner with Product Managers across all product lines to ensure products have the data sources, integrations, and intelligence needed to meet roadmap goals and customer needs.
  • Identify gaps in current data capabilities and prioritize the highest-value opportunities to strengthen product offerings and improve client outcomes.
Integrations, Vendors & External Partnerships
  • Own all third-party data integrations and API partnerships, including evaluation, prioritization, implementation coordination, and ongoing optimization.
  • Manage vendor relationships, licensing agreements, service levels, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Evaluate new data sources, partnerships, and enrichment opportunities that expand product capabilities.
Data, AI & Innovation
  • Collaborate with Analytics, Data Science, and AI teams to surface KPIs, benchmarks, predictive capabilities, and intelligent automation opportunities.
  • Champion data quality and governance through standards for accuracy, consistency, transparency, and trust.
  • Help shape future AI-enabled capabilities by ensuring Dynatron has the data foundation required to scale innovation.
Go-To-Market & Internal Enablement
  • Support go-to-market readiness for data-driven features and platform enhancements.
  • Enable Sales, Marketing, Product, and Client Success teams with clear narratives, use cases, and product knowledge related to data capabilities.
What You BringProduct Owner Experience
  • 4+ years of Product Owner or Product Management experience, with a focus on data products, platforms, analytics, AI-enabled solutions, or technical integrations.
  • Proven experience owning and managing product backlogs and sprint execution for data platforms, APIs, or shared product capabilities supporting multiple product lines.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business goals, stakeholder needs, and market opportunities into clear, prioritized product requirements and measurable outcomes.
Data, AI & Technical Acumen
  • Proven ability to work with data teams on pipelines, ETL processes, APIs, data architecture concepts, and AI/ML enablement.
  • Hands-on experience delivering products leveraging complex datasets (e.g., categorization, forecasting, benchmarking, optimization, machine learning, or AI-driven capabilities).
  • Familiarity with SQL, data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery), or BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data models, dashboards, usage metrics, andbusiness performance indicators to inform prioritization decisions.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional Product Managers and business stakeholders to identify unmet data needs and prioritize future opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to own outcomes from problem definition through delivery and measurable results.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical data and AI concepts in business terms.
Nice to Have
  • Background in automotive fixed ops, transportation, logistics, SaaS, or similar data-intensive industries strongly preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe POPM, or equivalent agile certification a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Pragmatic Institute Certification or similar product training a plus.
Why Dynatron
  • Own and shape the data and AI foundation of a rapidly growing SaaS platform - with direct influence over the intelligent products and outcomes delivered to thousands of dealerships.
  • Highly visible, strategic role with influence across Product, Engineering, Data, GTM, and Leadership teams.
  • Values-driven culture focused on accountability, urgency, and delivering measurable results.
  • Remote-first environment offering flexibility, autonomy, and trust.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary - $130,000/yr
  • Participation in Dynatron's Equity Incentive Plan
  • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance
  • Employer-paid disability and life insurance
  • 401(k) with competitive company match
  • Flexible vacation policy and 11 paid holidays
  • Remote-first culture
