What is a Dynamo?

A Dynamo typically refers to an electrical generator that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy, usually by using electromagnetic induction. In the context of jobs, a Dynamo could also refer to a specialist who works with Autodesk Dynamo, a visual programming tool used in architecture, engineering, and construction for automating tasks and designing workflows. Professionals using Dynamo create custom scripts to streamline complex processes in software like Revit. Their work helps increase efficiency, accuracy, and creativity in building design and data management.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Dynamo developer?

To excel as a Dynamo developer, you need strong skills in computational design, visual programming, and a background in architecture, engineering, or construction, often supported by relevant degrees or certifications. Proficiency in using Dynamo for Revit, understanding BIM workflows, and familiarity with scripting languages like Python are typically required. Creative problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication set outstanding Dynamo developers apart. These skills and qualities are crucial for automating complex design tasks, optimizing workflows, and delivering innovative solutions in the AEC industry.

What are some common challenges faced by a Dynamo developer when collaborating with architects and engineers on BIM projects?

Dynamo developers working on BIM projects often encounter challenges such as aligning script outputs with the specific requirements of architects and engineers, ensuring data interoperability between different software platforms, and keeping up with evolving project standards. Effective communication is key, as team members may have varying levels of familiarity with computational design tools. Regular coordination meetings, clear documentation, and iterative testing help ensure that scripts meet project goals and integrate smoothly into the broader design workflow.

What is the difference between Dynamo vs Data Analyst?

Job description

About Dynamo AI
Dynamo AI helps organizations deploy AI systems that are secure, reliable, observable, policy-aligned, and production-ready. As government and enterprise customers adopt Generative AI, agentic systems, copilots, and AI-enabled workflows, Dynamo provides the custom evaluation, control, agent assurance, and observability infrastructure needed to move from experimentation to trusted production deployment.
Dynamo's platform helps customers evaluate models and applications before deployment, protect sensitive data and enforce policy during use, govern agent actions, and maintain evidence for oversight. Our capabilities are flexible across cloud, hybrid, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped environments.
About the Role
We are looking for a Federal Account Executive to own and grow Dynamo's public sector business across defense, intelligence, federal civilian, and national security customers.
This role sits at the intersection of federal sales, capture strategy, mission discovery, AI cybersecurity, and partner development. You will work directly with government executives, program offices, mission owners, technical buyers, acquisition stakeholders, primes, systems integrators, and Dynamo's product, engineering, delivery, and leadership teams to build pipeline and close strategic opportunities.
This is a full-cycle federal sales role for a technical, mission-critical product category. You will build pipeline, shape early opportunities, lead capture efforts, navigate complex procurement paths, expand existing government engagements, and help customers adopt Dynamo's AI evaluation, runtime control, and agent governance capabilities.
In This Role You'll
  • Become deeply fluent in Dynamo's evaluation, guardrail, and agent governance platform, including DynamoEval, DynamoGuard, AgentWarden, and related capabilities.
  • Own federal account strategy, pipeline generation, opportunity development, capture execution, and deal closure across priority public sector accounts.
  • Identify, research, and pursue new opportunities across SAM.gov, procurement channels, conferences, partner networks, innovation organizations, and direct customer engagement.
  • Build trusted relationships with government executives, CISOs, CTOs, program managers, mission owners, acquisition leaders, primes, and systems integrators.
  • Shape early-stage opportunities by understanding mission gaps, technical requirements, emerging CONOPS, budget timing, and acquisition pathways.
  • Lead RFIs/RFPs, white papers, pilot proposals, partner strategies, teaming conversations, and compliant customer responses.
  • Partner with solutions, product, engineering, and delivery teams to create compelling demos, proposals, pilots, and deployment paths.
  • Drive disciplined forecasting, pipeline management, account planning, executive communication, and deal execution.
  • Bring market signal back to Dynamo's leadership, product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to shape federal strategy, positioning, partnerships, and roadmap.

You Might Thrive In This Role If You
  • Love building pipeline and opening new federal markets for technical products.
  • Can navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with persistence, judgment, and urgency.
  • Communicate clearly with executives, technical teams, mission users, acquisition stakeholders, and partner organizations.
  • Build credibility by understanding customer missions, procurement realities, technical constraints, and operational pain points.
  • Are comfortable moving between hunter, operator, strategist, and relationship-builder modes.
  • Like working closely with technical teams to make customer conversations concrete, credible, and outcome-oriented.
  • Are excited to help government customers adopt AI evaluation, runtime controls, and agent governance systems in high-stakes environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years in federal sales, enterprise software sales, public sector growth, defense technology, account management, capture, or business development.
  • Experience selling cybersecurity, AI, infrastructure, data, cloud, or enterprise software to U.S. federal government customers.
  • Proven success selling to or partnering with CISOs, CTOs, program managers, acquisition leaders, or mission owners across Department of War, IC, federal civilian, or national security environments.
  • Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes, FAR/DFARS, OTAs, SBIR/STTR, IDIQs, budget cycles, capture strategy, and partner ecosystems.
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities across AI/ML, cybersecurity, data security, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise software into clear mission outcomes.
  • Track record building pipeline from scratch, managing complex stakeholders, and closing strategic federal deals.
  • Strong writing, presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, forecasting, and operational judgment.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for customer meetings, conferences, partner engagement, and industry events.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; active U.S. security clearance preferred, with eligibility and willingness to obtain one required.

Nice To Have
  • Existing network across Department of War, Army, IC, federal civilian agencies, defense innovation organizations, PEOs, acquisition commands, or prime contractors.
  • Experience leading or supporting RFI/RFP responses for AI, cybersecurity, data, cloud, or emerging technology opportunities.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI, LLM applications, AI evaluation, red-teaming, runtime guardrails, AI governance, observability, or agentic AI systems.
