Job Description

Position Title: Microsoft Dynamics AX Inquiry and Reporting

Location: US-IL-Chicago

Duration: 06 months Contract

Position Description/Responsibilities:

Client is seeking a MS Dynamics AX Inquiry and Report Developer.

Qualified candidates will have a strong background in MS Dynamics AX 2012 R3.

The Developer will act as an additional staff member on the IT ERP team, specifically to support customer requests in the category of "data access and visibility.

This may include any of the following:

Assisting users with understand the Inquiry options already available in AX.

How to modify an existing query to meet a specific need, including renaming, saving and sharing.

Personalization of screens in AX, including both active Grids (such as Receiving) as well as personalization of standard list. views and query results.

Writing new SSRS reports where required.

Working with the Sys Admin to set up reports for batch scheduling.

Position Requirements/Technical Skills:

Experience Required

Four (4) years of reporting writing experience using SQL

Four (4) years of SSRS experience

Two (2) years of experience using the above tools within Microsoft Dynamics AX

Power BI experience not required, but highly preferred

MS Dynamics AX Module experience (e.g., AP, Inventory, AR, Projects and Grants, General Ledger)

Skills Required:

Ability to easily communicate with all levels of personnel and management

Ability to self-direct, prioritize work assignments, etc.

Ability to anticipate and proactively handle issues

Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as exceptional analytical and time management capabilities

Ability to work without close supervision, keeping focused on short and long-term support objectives

Exhibit unwavering honesty and integrity

Qualifications

Bachelors in any related field
