Job description

LUX Infusion is seeking a Per Diem Infusion Nurse (RN) to provide in-home and suite-based infusion therapy. This role is responsible for safely administering IV treatments, monitoring patient response, and delivering high-quality, patient-focused care while collaborating with internal and external care teams.

This is a flexible, field-based role requiring travel within a designated metropolitan area.


Key Responsibilities
  • Insert, manage, and remove peripheral and central IV lines (PICC, Port, Midline)

  • Administer prescribed IV medications, fluids, and nutrition therapy

  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately

  • Perform venipuncture and collect lab samples as ordered

  • Complete full patient assessments including vitals and review of systems

  • Document all clinical activity accurately and in a timely manner

  • Educate patients and caregivers on infusion therapy and line care

  • Coordinate and confirm patient visits in alignment with physician orders

  • Communicate patient status, concerns, and updates to providers and care teams

  • Collaborate with internal staff, agencies, and leadership to ensure continuity of care

  • Submit therapy administration reports and required documentation

  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory, clinical, and company standards

  • Participate in quality assurance and audit activities

  • Travel to patient homes and clinical sites within assigned territory


Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license in state of practice

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience

  • IV certification with experience in central line care and management

  • Current CPR certification

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally

  • Experience in home health, infusion, critical care, emergency nursing, or similar setting

  • Proficiency with venous access and phlebotomy

  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

  • Basic Microsoft Office proficiency


Preferred Qualifications
  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
  • Multi-state RN licensure
  • Prior home infusion experience
  • Advanced experience with PICC, Port, and Midline access
