D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Division Vice President of Sales. The right candidate will have the responsibility of achieving the revenues established in the division's business plan. Devise and implement strategic plans for division growth, new markets and growing market share. Additional responsibilities include recruiting, training, motivating and managing sales representatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Performs the obligations and signature duties required by the elected office state in the Corporate Authority resolution
• Assist the Division President to develop the annual sales plan
• Create and maintain a positive atmosphere for success and achieving goal
• Meet or beat set sales goal
• Hire, train, manage and motivate sales staff
• Evaluate sales representatives for training needs to promote growth and success to achieve their potential in obtaining company sales objective
• Modify and implement sales strategies for improvement based on market research, competitor analyses and identifying prospective customer
• Analyze competitive analyses on product, features, neighborhoods and amenitie
• Review market analyses to determine customer needs, price ranges and sales campaign
Devise incentive programs to motivate sales team to achieve sales goal
• Oversee customer expectations and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
• Conduct weekly sales meeting
• Resolve conflict between construction, sales representatives and customer
• Create new incentives for neighborhood
• Establish Realtor Outreach Programs (realtor breakfasts, lunches, office presentations)
• Collaborate with the marketing department to create advertising and campaign
• Educate sales representatives on marketing promotion
• Work closely with the marketing department to establish successful support, channel and partner program
• Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
• Stage community grand openings and new phases in an existing community
• Ensure infrastructure and data systems are available to support the sales function
• Provide feedback to division leadership team regarding customer interactions, market and competitor activity
• Develops and maintains good rapport with prospective customers, realtors, and team member
• Execute policies to ensure compliance with quality standard
• Work with Division President to provide counsel, guidance and coaching to the management staff in developing their personal management, capabilities and professional skill
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Supervises 2 or more employees

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field
  • Six to eight years sales experience
  • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, structuring sales quota goals and meeting revenue expectations
  • Must have a vehicle, a valid driver's license and able to drive in daytime or nighttime
  • Leadership experience
  • Experience in evaluating and motivating sales teams to achieve goals
  • Proven success creating marketing strategy and a sales plan
  • Ability to conduct and analyze a market analysis
  • Excel in intercommunications and interactions
  • Strongly motivated
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensing requirements vary by state
  • Knowledge of industry preferred
  • Successful experience utilizing a CRM to manage sales teams, sales pipeline and achieve closings
  • Experience managing sales in a large territory including different product lines
