Job description

Mobile Tech

Duval Motor Company is seeking an experienced Mobile Technician.  The Mobile Technician is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and on-site maintenance.  At times the Mobile Technician may be roadside when performing their job duties. 

This role requires traveling to various locations to assist customers, diagnose issues, and ensure that all maintenance is performed to the highest standards.  A Mobile Technician will provide after-hours/on-call service to customers that may include fleet service.  Must be available nights and weekends for rotating on call or fleet service.

Essential Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Performs work as outlined on a repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Diagnoses cause of most malfunctions and performs repairs.
  • Communications with parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
  • Documents all work performed on the repair order
  • Road tests vehicles when required
Requirements:
  • Previous experience inspecting and repairing vehicles
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
  • Knowledgeable and stays abreast of federal, state and local regulations
  • Works in a safe manner
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
