Face to Face Games est un detaillant de jeux de cartes a collectionner et une entreprise d'evenementiel basee a Montreal, operant a travers une entite canadienne et une filiale neerlandaise. Nous recherchons une personne rigoureuse pour prendre en charge les conciliations de comptes et appuyer une cloture de fin de mois rapide et exacte pour les deux entites. Vous travaillerez au sein de l'equipe comptable, en etroite collaboration avec la controleuse, principalement dans NetSuite.

Principales responsabilites

  • Preparer et tenir a jour les conciliations mensuelles du bilan (banque, cartes de credit, comptes de transit, frais payes d'avance, charges a payer, intercompagnie) et investiguer et resoudre les ecarts.
  • Appuyer la cloture de fin de mois : saisir les ecritures de journal, reviser l'activite des grands livres auxiliaires, contribuer aux charges a payer et a la cesure, et respecter les echeances de cloture.
  • Concilier les activites multidevises et multi-entites, y compris les soldes intercompagnies entre les entites canadienne et neerlandaise.
  • Appuyer les conciliations d'inventaire et de cout des marchandises vendues liees aux activites de detail et d'evenementiel.
  • Tenir des dossiers exacts dans NetSuite et contribuer a la documentation des processus et aux procedures normalisees.
  • Appuyer la preparation des audits, les declarations fiscales et les analyses ponctuelles selon les besoins.

Exigences

  • DEC en comptabilite (ou DEP/AEC avec experience pertinente), ou baccalaureat en comptabilite/finance.
  • 2 ans et plus dans un role comptable similaire, incluant conciliations et cloture de fin de mois.
  • Anglais avance (oral et ecrit) exige : le poste communique regulierement avec des parties prenantes a l'exterieur du Quebec.
  • Francais fonctionnel pour l'environnement de travail montrealais.
  • Solides competences Excel (tableaux croises dynamiques, recherches, grands volumes de donnees).
  • Aisance dans un environnement ERP; experience NetSuite un atout important.
  • Organisation, exactitude et autonomie pour respecter des echeances recurrentes.

Staff Accountant - Reconciliations & Month-End Close

About the role
Face to Face Games is a Montreal-based trading card game retailer and events company operating across a Canadian entity and a Dutch subsidiary. We're looking for a detail-driven accountant to own account reconciliations and support a fast, accurate month-end close across both entities. You'll sit within the accounting team, working closely with the Controller, primarily in NetSuite.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations (bank, credit card, clearing, prepaid, accruals, intercompany) and investigate and resolve reconciling items.
  • Support the month-end close: post journal entries, review sub-ledger activity, assist with accruals and cut-off, and hit close deadlines.
  • Reconcile multi-currency and multi-entity activity, including intercompany balances between the Canadian and Dutch entities.
  • Support inventory and cost-of-goods reconciliations tied to retail and events operations.
  • Maintain accurate records in NetSuite and contribute to process documentation and SOPs.
  • Support audit prep, tax filings, and ad hoc analysis as needed.

Qualifications

  • DEC in accounting (or DEP/AEC with relevant experience), or a bachelor's in accounting/finance.
  • 2+ years in a similar accounting role, including reconciliation and month-end work.
  • Advanced English (spoken and written) required - the role communicates regularly with stakeholders outside Quebec.
  • Functional French for the Montreal work environment.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, large data sets).
  • Comfortable in an ERP environment; NetSuite experience a strong asset.
  • Organized, accurate, and able to meet recurring deadlines independently.

Nice to have

  • Multi-entity / multi-currency accounting experience.
  • Retail, inventory, or events-industry background.
  • CPA designation or candidate working toward it.
