Job description

Articulated Dump Truck Operator
Southwest Concrete Paving is an established concrete paving company specializing in military airfield construction across the western United States. At Southwest we believe that quality and safety come first and have spent considerable resources to assure those components are emphasized on every project. The Articulated Dump Truck Driver is responsible for hauling concrete and construction materials across project sites. The driver is responsible for maintaining their assigned equipment including routine maintenance. Work will be on the California Border wall project.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Operate A30 or equivalent off-road articulated trucks safely across uneven terrain, mud, and active construction zones
  • Coordinate with batch plants, paving spreads, and site supervisors for precise concrete placement and dumping
  • Perform thorough pre-tip and post-trip equipment inspections to ensure operational readiness
  • Maintain strict compliance with all site safety protocols and company guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be available to work all shifts including days, nights, and/or weekends
  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred)
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid Standard Driver's License required
  • Must be able to provide past driving record, and current MVR

EXPERIENCE:
  • Previous experience operating articulated dump trucks or similar heavy off-road equipment in a construction or paving environment is mandatory

In addition to a competitive salary, Davis Bacon Rates apply on participating projects.
