This position is based onsite at our surgical center in Newark, New Jersey, which offers a modern and supportive work environment. You will collaborate closely with a team of attending physicians, resident physicians, and fellow staff members, fostering an inclusive culture where every team member's contribution is valued.

• Utilize advanced clinical knowledge to perform comprehensive health assessments, utilizing both patient history and diagnostic data to formulate effective treatment plans.
• Administer medications, injections, or treatments as directed by supervising physicians, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards.
• Order and interpret a wide range of diagnostic tests, applying critical thinking to analyze results and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, working to bridge any communication gaps to promote clarity and understanding between patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Provide a full spectrum of dermatology services, including health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic skin conditions.
• Actively educate patients and their families on health issues and treatment options, empowering them to make informed decisions.
• Stay current with relevant medical knowledge and practice improvements, applying new insights to enhance the quality of patient care.
• Engage in departmental Quality Improvement initiatives, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of care delivery within the surgical center.

Your role will primarily focus on a diverse patient population, including children and adults experiencing a wide range of dermatology-related health issues. You will be responsible for evaluating and managing conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections, and more. By tailoring your approach to meet the specific developmental and age-appropriate needs of your patients, you’ll play a key role in impacting their overall well-being.

• Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Licensure as a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) by the Medical Board, confirming proficiency in medical knowledge and patient care.
• At least one year of experience working as a Physician Assistant in a dermatological setting is strongly preferred, equipping you with specialized skills needed to excel in this role.

While a minimum of one year of dermatology experience is preferred, candidates with varied medical backgrounds demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to learning are encouraged to apply. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is also beneficial for efficient patient management.
