Perfectly positioned along the I-95 corridor, the hotel is designed for today’s traveler — welcoming families, business travelers, and road-trippers alike. As Richmond Hill continues to grow with a new high school, hospital, and manufacturing hubs, the hotel will also offer flexible meeting space for both corporate and community events. Also included in the development is a new drive-through Starbucks — set to open in late 2025 — adding even more convenience for guests and locals alike.


As a Starbucks Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. As a team lead, you will deploy partners and delegate tasks to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers by providing legendary customer service with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. You will be responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles and best of all, you’ll be part of a company that is consistently rated as a great place to work and the people here love what they do.


  • Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks.
  • Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the shift team.
  • Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
  • Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the Third Place environment during each shift.
  • Assists with new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed. Provides feedback to store manager on partner performance during shift.
  • Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager.
  • Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to partners on shift to ensure operational excellence and to improve partner performance.
  • Delivers legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer. Discovers and responds to customer needs.
  • Develops positive relationships with shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, need and concerns.
  • Executes store operations during scheduled shifts. Organizes opening and closing duties as assigned.
  • Follows Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
  • Follows all cash management and cash register policies and ensures proper cash management practices are followed by shift team.
  • Follows up with baristas during the shift to ensure the delivery of legendary customer service for all customers.
  • Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.

  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in a Starbucks Store or a related field; or a 4-year college degree and at least 3 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and 4 or more years of related experience.
  • Must be proficient in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Must have knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations.
  • Long hours sometimes required.
  • Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  • Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing nametags.
  • Comply with Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
