How does a dual store manager balance responsibilities across multiple store locations?

Dual Store Managers are responsible for overseeing operations at two different retail locations, which requires strong organizational and time management skills. To balance these responsibilities, they typically establish clear communication channels with each store’s team, set specific goals, and delegate tasks effectively. Regular site visits, remote check-ins, and leveraging technology for real-time updates help ensure consistency in service and performance. Building a reliable management team at each location is key to maintaining oversight while addressing issues promptly.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a dual store manager?

To thrive as a Dual Store Manager, you need strong leadership, operational management, and retail experience, often supported by a degree in business or related field. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, and scheduling tools is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities help managers effectively oversee multiple locations and motivate teams. Job description

About the Role

Are you passionate about healthy living and community wellness? We are seeking a high-energy, hands-on Market Manager to oversee operations for our two healthy supermarket locations in Luverne and Greenville.

This isn't a "sit-behind-a-desk" job. You will be the bridge between our two stores, ensuring that our mission of providing fresh, high-quality, and organic options is met at both locations. You will lead two distinct teams, optimize inventory, and ensure every customer walks out healthier and happier.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dual-Store Oversight: Drive operational excellence and consistency across both the Luverne and Greenville locations.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, train, and mentor store staff and assistant managers. You’ll be responsible for scheduling, performance reviews, and fostering a positive work culture.
  • Merchandising & Inventory: Ensure produce, supplements, and grocery items are impeccably stocked, rotated (FIFO), and visually appealing.
  • Financial Performance: Manage P&L, labor costs, and shrinkage. You will be responsible for hitting quarterly sales targets for both markets.
  • Community Engagement: Build relationships with local Alabama farmers and vendors to ensure we are sourcing the best regional products.
  • Compliance: Maintain strict health, safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years in retail management (Grocery, Produce, or Specialty Health Retail preferred). Multi-unit management experience is a major plus.
  • Mobility: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute between Luverne and Gainesville.
  • Knowledge: A genuine interest in health, nutrition, and "clean label" products.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage diverse teams and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficient in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic Microsoft Office/G-Suite.

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • Employee discounts on all healthy groceries and supplements.
  • Excellent health benefit package
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and health benefits.
  • The opportunity to make a tangible impact on the health of the Luverne and Greenville communities.
