What is a DSP Delivery?

DSP Delivery jobs refer to positions with Delivery Service Partners (DSPs), which are independent businesses that partner with companies like Amazon to deliver packages to customers. Employees, often called delivery associates or drivers, are responsible for safely and efficiently delivering parcels to homes and businesses, following assigned routes and schedules. These roles typically involve driving a company-provided van, loading packages, and interacting with customers. DSP Delivery jobs are popular for those seeking active, entry-level employment with opportunities for growth and flexible hours.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a DSP Delivery driver?

To thrive as a DSP (Delivery Service Partner) Delivery Driver, you need a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and strong time management skills. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems, delivery route software, and handheld scanning devices is typically required. Excellent customer service, reliability, and the ability to work independently make someone stand out in this position. These skills and qualities are crucial for ensuring timely, accurate deliveries and maintaining customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

What are some common challenges faced by DSP Delivery drivers, and how can they be managed effectively?

DSP Delivery drivers often encounter challenges such as navigating unfamiliar routes, managing tight delivery schedules, and handling high package volumes, especially during peak seasons. Effective time management, using GPS navigation tools, and proactive communication with dispatchers can help address these issues. Additionally, maintaining a professional attitude when interacting with customers and being adaptable to changing circumstances are key to success in this role.

In this role, the Program Manager will work closely with senior leaders in the Last Mile space as well as key partner organizations (e.g., Operations, Customer Service, LMAQ, WHS) to ensure success. The Program Manager will own performance programs and mechanisms used by internal customers, such as Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) and Business Coaches (BCs), with a focus on measuring and improving Delivery Associate (DA) performance.
You will be successful in this role if you 1) have a strong sense of ownership and seek long-term solutions that allow DFI to scale, 2) can develop data-based insights and turn them into actionable work-plans, and 3) clearly communicate, both verbally and in writing, to drive buy-in and adoption across a diverse group of stakeholders with competing priorities.
About the team

DFI investigates and issues infractions based on global standards and regional requirements, and the team's goal is to achieve zero delivery complaints and industry-leading delivery standards across all geographies where the DSP Program operates. To achieve that, DFI employs rigorous case management standards to produce delivery insights, equip DSPs with data-driven tooling to improve DA performance, and collect closed-loop feedback to enhance detection capabilities
